Carbon monoxide detectors save lives: 407 interventions and 4 deaths in Lublin region
As the heating season begins, firefighters are relaunching the nationwide campaign "Detector on Guard of Your Safety!" warning against carbon monoxide poisoning and fires. Since January 1, 2026, the Lublin region has recorded 407 interventions related to carbon monoxide emissions—60 people were injured or poisoned, and four died. Carbon monoxide is odorless, colorless, and tasteless, making it exceptionally dangerous. A carbon monoxide detector can effectively prevent tragedy.
