Hit-and-run motorcyclist with drugs faces prosecutor, 22

In Krężnica Jara a 22-year-old rode an unregistered, uninsured electric motorcycle without a license — his license had previously been revoked by a court. When police tried to stop him for a check, he hit one officer and fled. Officers later found him in Chełm county sitting in a BMW driven by a 20-year-old, carrying drugs. The injured officer underwent surgery and remains hospitalized; the 22-year-old faces three charges, and prosecutors did not apply pretrial detention.
