New Mexico court recognizes unborn child as abortion victim at 26 weeks

A New Mexico court concluded a wrongful death civil case recognizing both a woman and her unborn child as victims following an abortion at 26 weeks of pregnancy. The case settled with a 200,000 dollar compensation payment. Family attorneys claim this is the first such lawsuit in U.S. history.
