Plague in Russia: 28-year-old dies, nearly 200 under observation

A 28-year-old woman infected with plague has died in Irkutsk Oblast in Russia. After confirmation of the case, 197 people were placed under sanitary and epidemiological observation, with some hospitalized. The hospital was quarantined and regional authorities implemented epidemic control measures.
