US states and cities sue White House over loosened CO2 emission rules
California, New York, and more than twenty other states, cities and counties, along with environmental organizations, have filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration. The suit challenges a decision drastically lowering CO2 emission and fuel consumption standards for gasoline vehicles. Plaintiffs argue the decision harms the environment and violates the law.
