Woman loses nearly 100,000 zloty to fake job offer from TikTok
A resident of Gostyń County believed a hair tie packaging job offer she found on TikTok. After contact via WhatsApp and Telegram, she opened an Amazon Handmade account and began buying products as instructed—500 to 2,500 zloty per purchase. Virtual "earnings" were meant to convince her she was actually making money. When she bought only one item instead of two in one order, the scammers blocked her account and began extorting more payments—she lost nearly 100,000 zloty total.
