North Korea fires ballistic missile toward Sea of Japan

Saturday morning, North Korea fired a ballistic missile from the Wonsan area on the east coast toward the Sea of Japan, South Korea's military reported. The launch occurred amid rising tensions between Pyongyang and Seoul following a mine explosion in the Demilitarized Zone that wounded three South Korean soldiers a month ago. Seoul is demanding an apology from the North.
