Failed execution in Tennessee: inmate on ventilator, needle bent

Christy Pike's condition is critical following a failed execution in Tennessee — the woman is unconscious and on a ventilator. The execution team spent nearly an hour searching for a vein, inserting seven needles into the 50-year-old's left arm, one of which bent. The execution did not proceed as planned.
