Paramount and WBD merger: new media empire to operate as Skydance

Following completion of a 110 billion dollar merger, Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery will operate under the joint name Skydance. CEO David Ellison announced this Friday on platform X. The transaction is to close on Tuesday, after a year of efforts by Ellison and a two-month delay caused by antitrust issues.
