Students block schools across France demanding education reforms
Secondary school students throughout France are striking and blocking school entrances, protesting underfunding of education, overcrowded classrooms, crumbling buildings, and low teacher salaries. Outside the Voltaire lycée in Paris, hundreds of students prevented classes from running for a second straight day. Seventeen-year-old Sophia said: "We just want the government to listen to us — it's the only way to be heard."
