Russians force civilians through pipeline over 10 km near Kupiansk
Russian forces evacuated a group of Ukrainian civilians, including children and elderly people, from Kupiansk in Kharkiv region and forced them to walk through the interior of a gas pipeline for more than 10 kilometers. Nine people were used this way as human shields — Ukrainian soldiers held their fire to avoid harming civilians. This is another documented case of Russia using civilians as cover during combat operations.
