Polish matcha from Podlasia: beverage made from strawberry leaf instead of green tea

Near Hajnówka in Podlasia, a fully Polish alternative to Japanese matcha has been created. The beverage is based on strawberry leaf and an herb that boosts energy — when brewed it looks nearly identical to classic green matcha, but contains no tea. It is the first such local substitute for the popular green drink produced in Poland.
