Last Soviet propaganda monument in Subcarpathia dismantled in Rzeszów

The Monument of Gratitude to the Soviet Army is being dismantled at Ghetto Victims Square in Rzeszów — the last Soviet propaganda monument in Subcarpathia. Work began on September 22, 2026; one of the first stages was removing the 6.6-ton statue of a woman with a child crowning the obelisk. A week into the dismantling, the monument has virtually ceased to exist.
