Norwegian archaeologists discover Neolithic stone burial cist from 4,000 years ago

Archaeologists on the Svinesund plateau in Norway have found a stone burial cist from the late Neolithic period, over 4,000 years old. Charcoal traces and fire-cracked stones initially suggested it was a hearth. The discovery may shed new light on burial practices of local societies.
