Ransomware attack on college in Suwałki: student PESEL numbers at risk

Państwowa Uczelnia Zawodowa in Suwałki fell victim to a ransomware attack — cybercriminals encrypted servers, cutting the institution off from its systems and backups. The college warns that hackers may have obtained PESEL numbers and bank account numbers belonging to both students and staff. The scope of the incident is being investigated.
