The brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys) is an invasive shield bug that seeks shelter in Polish homes in late September and October. When threatened, it releases an intense, unpleasant odor. The insect arrived in Europe from the United States and becomes more widespread in Poland each year.
