Jewish settlers enter Al-Aksa mosque under police protection

Jewish settlers accompanied by Israeli police entered the Al-Aksa mosque compound on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, where they performed prayers and religious rituals, according to Wafa news agency and Al-Jazeera television. Attacks on Palestinians in the Old City occurred at the same time. The Palestinian side describes the incident as a provocation.
