EC proposes bypassing national vetoes in EU expansion process

The European Commission plans to propose a reform of the EU's decision-making mechanism that would allow bypassing individual member states' veto rights. The changes are meant to accelerate accession for Ukraine, Montenegro and North Macedonia. A detailed proposal is to be presented soon.
