Juice probe performs Earth gravity assist maneuver, accelerates toward Jupiter

On September 28, the ESA's Juice probe flew over the Indian Ocean, executing a gravity assist maneuver at Earth. As a result, the flight course was adjusted by 20 degrees and velocity increased by 3.5 km/s with minimal fuel consumption — the probe is drawing closer to its mission target: Jupiter.
