"Sopot Forests" reserve signs hung in woods before official establishment

Information signs for the planned "Sopot Forests" reserve have already appeared in Sopot's woods, even though the reserve itself has not yet been established—consultations were still ongoing in June 2026. The project envisages protection of 120 ha of forest within Sopot and the designation of a buffer zone covering 217.75 ha in Sopot and Gdynia. The Regional Environmental Protection Authority has already conducted proceedings for the creation and installation of the signs.
