Ivan P. deported from Spain, suspected of 77 crimes and 16m zloty VAT fraud
Ivan P. was deported from Spain and handed over on September 24 at Warsaw's Okęcie airport to Border Guard officials, then held in Gdańsk detention. He is suspected of 77 crimes, including VAT fraud exceeding 16 million zloty. In 2018–2019, as a board member of a Gdynia company, he allegedly used nearly a thousand fraudulent invoices, reducing VAT by over 3 million zloty. Charges also include illegally employing 284 foreigners in Poland using forged documents.
