Diesel now just 7.3 percent of new EU registrations: sales continue falling

Diesel engines account for just 7.3 percent of new car registrations in the European Union. A dozen years ago, diesel was the first choice for drivers covering long distances. High-compression engines are disappearing from successive models, and soon the legendary 2.0 l TDI is expected to exit even the Skoda Octavia range, one of Poland's most popular cars.
