Milei threatens Britain with lawsuit over oil drilling near Falklands
President of Argentina Javier Milei announced on Monday that his country will sue Great Britain over the Sea Lion oil extraction project being developed near the disputed Falkland Islands. Argentina claims rights to these British-administered territories, which it fought over in 1982 — 255 British soldiers and 649 Argentine soldiers were killed. Companies Navitas and Rockhopper say they hold valid British licenses for exploration.
