Expert: British military base plot fits pattern of intense hybrid threats
Five men detained near a US air base in Britain were released on bail as police investigate possible involvement of a "foreign state" in an alleged bomb plot. Security expert Yan Saint-Pierre notes that similar cases have intensified over the past two months and that perpetrators are typically local citizens recruited by foreign intelligence services seeking to build "as many layers" as possible to obstruct investigations.
