Belarusian charged with planning to torch customs warehouse in Chełm

A 28-year-old Belarusian citizen Vitalij S. appeared before the District Court in Lublin, accused of preparing a sabotage act. In July 2025 he allegedly acted on orders from a foreign intelligence service—he conducted surveillance of a large warehouse containing a customs facility in Chełm and recorded video of the site, which he passed to his handlers. The case was handled by the Lublin ABW and the National Prosecutor's Office.
