Prof. Glensk: Poland showed no mercy to migrants in Podlasie
Prof. Urszula Glensk – a researcher of the excluded – describes how she left the lecture hall and found herself in the midst of a humanitarian crisis in Podlasie, where migrants were dying of exhaustion. In her own apartment, she created a makeshift shelter for them. Her work covers victims of the Warsaw ghetto, forcibly displaced people, and refugees at the border. An 18-year-old from Ghana she helped called her "mama" – a symbol of the relationships she built while assisting.
