Hubble telescope completes 200,000 orbits and 8.7 billion kilometers

The Hubble telescope has orbited Earth 200,000 times, traveling about 8.7 billion kilometers since its launch in April 1990. During this time it took over 1.7 million photographs of space. Observations during the anniversary orbit focused on measuring the Hubble constant, the rate of cosmic expansion.
