Medyc app data breach: UODO to audit Qbusoft

The Personal Data Protection Office announced an audit of Qbusoft, creator of medical software Medyc, after a possible patient data breach. The Central Cybercrime Combat Bureau is investigating a cybersecurity incident involving the company. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalisation Krzysztof Gawkowski announced that CSiRT CeZ and the Health Ministry gave medical software providers security recommendations to implement by 16 September 2026. The number of people whose data may have been exposed so far comes only from media reports.
