EU tightens fight against money laundering: PESEL required for major purchases from 2027

New EU anti-money laundering rules take effect on 10 July 2027. PESEL numbers will be required for certain transactions. Not all purchases will be covered—the regulations apply mainly to large cash and financial transactions.
