7.3 million Poles juggle work and caregiving, with senior care proving hardest
According to 2025 GUS data, nearly 7.3 million Poles aged 18–74 work while fulfilling caregiving duties. Importantly, caring for an elderly or dependent family member more often excludes people from employment than parenthood does. This means caregivers for adults face the most difficult situation on the labor market.
