Stratospheric airship Sceye flew 30,000 km over Pacific

American firm Sceye in collaboration with Japanese SoftBank completed Service Test 1 (ST1) mission — an unmanned HAPS platform (High Altitude Platform Station) covered nearly 30,000 kilometers in the stratosphere over the Pacific. The mission tests stratospheric platforms as a basis for telecommunications and 6G networks as an alternative to low-earth orbit satellites.
