Psychologist: 13-year-old girls already say they are ugly
Increasingly younger teenagers, often already at age 13, negatively assess their appearance — saying they have too fat a belly, ugly thighs, or that they are worse than their classmates. Psychologist Marzena Stelmach-Tondos acknowledges that 13 is not surprisingly early for such difficulties. The problem grows with early puberty and social pressure.
