Jon Watts to direct new Star Wars film

Lucasfilm has chosen Jon Watts to direct a new Star Wars film. The screenplay is being written by Simon Kinberg, and the production will be part of a new trilogy continuing the Skywalker Saga. Watts is known for directing the Spider-Man trilogy for Marvel Studios.
