H&M to close 170 stores in a year as it loses ground to Shein and Temu

Swedish fashion giant H&M plans to shut 170 stores within the coming year. This marks the fourth consecutive year of network contraction. The driver is rising competition from Shein and Temu and mounting price pressure. Online sales already account for over 30 per cent of all purchases for the brand.
