Astronomers detect radio signal from exoplanet Beta Pictoris b for first time

Scientists detected a radio signal from the exoplanet Beta Pictoris b, roughly 64 light-years from Earth — the first such discovery for any exoplanet. The signal likely originates from auroras on the planet and allowed the first direct measurement of its magnetic field strength. The study has not yet undergone peer review.
