Women in DRC take up arms to defend against sexual violence

Facing ongoing war and widespread sexual violence in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, women are joining pro-government Wazalendo fighters to defend themselves. Armed conflict in the region has long been linked to epidemic rape and other violence against women.
