Quantum computer recreated particle creation after the Big Bang

Using a quantum simulator made of 13 ions, scientists recreated the process of matter particle creation linked to early universe physics. The breakthrough suggests quantum computers may in the future help study how matter formed and evolved after the Big Bang. This is among the first such experiments conducted on actual quantum hardware.
