Fire in apartment block in Jawidz: 74-year-old man found dead in kitchen

A fire broke out on Friday 26 September around 14.30 in an apartment in a block in Jawidz (Łęczna county). The fire engulfed the kitchen, and the body of a 74-year-old was found inside. The fire is preliminarily attributed to careless handling. Police are investigating the circumstances of the death under prosecutorial supervision; an autopsy has been scheduled.
