Coal power output in Poland rises more than 10 percent

After eight months of this year, Poland's energy sector produces and exports more electricity than in the same period last year. Coal is driving growth — its share in power generation has risen more than 10 percent since the start of the year, and nearly 21 percent in August alone. The trend points to a reversal of recent declines in coal power generation.
