Latin American fled Russian army: promised drone work, sent to assault

Carlos Lenski Davila Vela, a Latin American recruited into the Russian army as a drone operator, was assigned to an assault unit in Ukraine after a few weeks of training. He witnessed a comrade's death, was wounded himself, and escaped from hospital. He describes how Russians lured foreigners with promises of specialist roles before sending them to the front as cannon fodder.
