Polish soy at 2,000 zloty per ton; farmers gain more buyers
The domestic soy purchase price in September stands at around 2,000 zloty per ton, though it varies by region. Yields in southern Poland reach 3.5–4 tons per hectare, in the north around 3 tons per hectare. Minister Stefan Krajewski emphasizes that sales opportunities for crops are growing and the commodity can be processed domestically. An additional benefit of soy is its fixation of atmospheric nitrogen, which lowers fertilization costs.
