Anthropic AI lab discovers DNA sequences in viruses similar to CRISPR
Anthropic's biology laboratory, using artificial intelligence, detected DNA sequences in viruses resembling the CRISPR mechanism. Around 950 AI agents were deployed to search DNA sequence databases, analyzing the data for over 21 hours. The discovery may have implications for further research into gene editing and virus biology.
