"Relative" scam in Lublin: 93-year-old loses 55,000 zlotys

A 93-year-old Lublin resident fell victim to a telephone scam on Tuesday. Criminals convinced her that her son-in-law and daughter caused an accident involving a pregnant woman and cash was needed for bail. The woman handed over money and valuables to a fake "courier". Police located and detained a 58-year-old Warsaw resident within three hours of the report.
