Man defrauded Clean Air program of 1.3 million zlotys using fake identities
A 47-year-old from Lower Silesia obtained subsidies from the Clean Air program by impersonating other people — he found their details online and submitted false applications for properties in nine voivodeships. Money was transferred to a shell account, and the suspect withdrew it from ATMs at night. He was caught attempting to claim another tranche when police detained him in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki; officers found a laptop, forged documents, stamps, and cash on him. The total amount defrauded was 1.3 million zlotys.
