Large Danish study explains why ADHD and autism diagnoses are rising

A major Danish study found that children diagnosed today with ADHD or autism are more similar to peers in the general population than children diagnosed 10 years ago. This suggests the rise in diagnoses stems partly from broader recognition of disorders and changes in diagnostic criteria, not solely from an actual increase in cases. The results may help explain the global trend of growing neurodevelopmental diagnoses.
