Over 3,500 cigarette packs hidden in wheels and roofs of vehicles at border
Customs officers in Koroszczyn and Terespol, aided by service dogs, discovered over 3,000 cigarette packs hidden in the wheels of a truck entering Poland. In total, over 3,500 packs without Polish excise marks were seized from spare wheels, ceilings, roofs, cabins and trunks of inspected vehicles. A Belarusian driver admitted to smuggling and paid a 50,000 zł fine; criminal proceedings were initiated against two other drivers.
