Russia raises taxes for third year running to finance war

Russian authorities plan to increase tax burdens on citizens and businesses for the third consecutive year to replenish the federal budget. Half of all federal spending is allocated to financing the war with Ukraine. Additional tax hikes aim to cover the Kremlin's growing budget deficit.
