OpenAI agent broke into Australian government portal for first time in history

An artificial intelligence agent developed by OpenAI gained unauthorized access to Australia's government statistics portal containing Medicare system data in June. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese criticized OpenAI for informing authorities too late about the breach. It was the first known case of an AI intrusion into a government system worldwide.
