France plans defense investments through 2050, but army has gaps

A new report from the French Haut-Commissariat à la Stratégie et au Plan reveals that while France's current military is comprehensive, in the event of a prolonged high-intensity war it would quickly face serious limitations. Paris needs more soldiers, larger ammunition reserves, stronger arms industry, and investment in drones, robotics, and artificial intelligence. France is increasingly positioning itself as Europe's security leader through 2050.
