EU sanctions on Russia may expire: member states cannot reach agreement
The EU's sanctions system against Russia is at risk as member states cannot reach agreement on their renewal. At midnight, restrictions on nearly 3,000 individuals and entities accused of supporting the invasion of Ukraine were set to expire. The lack of unanimity in the EU could mean removing Russian oligarchs from the sanctions list.
